A few ornaments created

Ornaments created for my friend. I love the holiday and could not create just one. So ..... one was painted, the other altered and glittered and the last one.. well she loves vintage and the snowflake just reminded me of the old pipecleaner ornaments from my grandmothers tree. :)

Santa Clause is coming to Town!!

Friends, work has consumed me, but I wanted to take the time to post another project. This one is a old craft, one that I have not done in a long time. For my Gibbs swap partner I could not resist! We were challenged with creating an item ' covered in paint '. This did not call for a paper project although I did end up with several painted paper items and will add an additional one to this post. :)

Painting a ceramic santa however was just the thing for the challenge and the season. :)

The additional... a painted rabbit, sugared in snow and cuttled with the flower of Christmas. I altered a small hat box for my snow bunny to rest on and filled with sweet mints that melt in your mouth.

Make it Merry and Bright !

More Cards. I decided I give so many Christmas cards, I wanted to ensure that Laurie had some to choose from.
So these too she received in her box of goodies. I mentioned I LOVE my Cricut, however I will never forget the classics!
I also love to pull out my Sizzix and create, and these cards are all Sizzix. Sizzix original die candy cane and original die holly. Again the Sizzix embossing Polka Dot folder, a few buttons and bling and walla - precious !
Hummm, someone just asked if I have a thing for polka dots ???? I don't see where they got this idea from ;) LOL!

Holiday Cards

As promised, I just walked in the door and would you believe it, I am still not finished!!! Honestly believe that next year I will rethink the decorations for my church and most certainly get some help!!

Ok, enough of my whining and on to the cards. These were quick, and I think they turned out oh so cute!
Cartridge used... do we need a drum roll ? Yep, you guessed it ! Winter Woodland ... AGAIN ! LOL
What can I say, it is full of simple happy shapes. The circle and scallop backing were both cut using the WW cart. You should see a resemblance to the snowflakes. Except these were cut using the blackout or shadow feature.
a Sizzix polka dot folder to emboss the back ground, dimensional stickers from my stash, and blue SU ribbon finish it off.

I just love using these happy colors for Christmas cards.

Hope your days this season are filled with a slight chill in the air and socks on your toes :).
I Love this time of year and spirit that fills peoples hearts. I love to sit in my craft room in my fuzzy socks and create. But so too do I love to give it away. Today, I will be finishing up the decorations at my Church, and all that work will certainly call for a warm lunch. So today Ive decided to tie one of these little tags onto gift cards from one of my favorite fast food places, then hand it to a homeless man. Talk about filling your heart with joy while filling someone elses tummy!!!! :)

The Winter Woodland cartridge is just sooo wonderful! These tags were cut just as suggested by the guide. Nothing else added. They make up fast and although I went through alot of my pearl stash, I think each and every one needed them. Again, could not settle on just one of the different base shapes and the different snowflakes, so here you will see a sample of them all. ( I think I made about 40 of these !!! )

I will be back this evening to share a few cards... stay tuned :)

I love, love my cricut, and these were made using the Winter Woodland cartridge. The base of the shapes were all so pretty I could not decide on just one. The Trees were also cut from WW, while the little bird and banner piece were cut from the Give a Hoot cartridge
I just thought the banner was the perfect spot to write someone's name or even a sweet holiday message. We paper crafters all know, that every paper creation seems to always look better with a bit of bling, so a sprinkle of sequins, some stickling and sparkley trim - perfect.

Gingerbread Ornaments

Yes Mam, you guessed it. Another 'sweet' project for my friends. I think I'll be doing many more of these as the holidays get closer. For this project, the words of inspiration were " All hearts come home for Christmas ". I again took a little spin, and settled for ' All hearts come home for Cookies '. This little guy was a gingerbread ornament form I purchased at HL recently. He is covered again in Basic Gray paper then I chalked his cheeks, face drawn on and puffy white paint used for the icing on both the front and the back. The finishing touch was to glitter him all over to give the effect of glistening sugar. How could you not crave cookies after seeing this fello? Thus, this project called for a box of sugar cookies to tie him to.

The Lollie Pop Guild

I am back :) with another project to share. This item was also for a small swap between friends.
The words of inspiration, " Over the Rainbow ". I must have come up with 1000 ideas for this project but settled on one. I'm short and people comment alot about my height so I could not pass up the opportunity to create this little basket and fill it with sweet goodness. Tagged ' Courtsey of the Lollie Pop Guild ' and made in good ol' 'Munchkin Land'. It would not be complete with out the little blue bird. I mean... its over the rainbow where blue birds fly right ?
I lined the inside completly although the pics do not show it. The paper line used was Basic Grey's Lemonaid collection and the blue bird was created with Stampin Up's bird and branch die.

Spooktacular !!!

It's that time of year. The time of year the air changes and spiders crawl. I love the fall and I love to paper craft.
Ive been busy creating a few things for a mini swap that I was in. This is the first of the items.
I created three for each of the girls that participated. I figured anyone who owns a pair of cherished scissors could use something like this in their creative space.

The 'Beware" was cut from the new OCT 31st Cricut Mini cart.
The paper background is from Graphic 45's Halloween in Wonderland. I love that collection!!!
The orange paper ruffel was made from Basic Grey's dog collection.
Easy peasy !! Now I should have made myself one!

Happy Scrapping..... more to come :)

Gibbs Happy Mail

Today I arrived home from the Atlanta Cricut Swarm. Long day and longer drive for I was stuck in traffic for over an hour. However, once I arrived home I was greeted with a sweet box from a fellow Gibbs girl and dear friend Denni.
Unfortunatly my own partner failed to follow through on her commitment to the swap and out of the sweet, tender heart of Denni, she sent me some wonderful things that more than make up for the misgivings of my previous partner.
Denni I can not tell you enough how much these things mean to me. Your workman ship is beyond perfection and in keeping with my favorite color GREEN. I am more than humbled by your kindness. THANK YOU !

Denni did not just send one thing...she sent many and as much as I love each and every one.. the last one brought me to tears.

First, sweetly packaged and taged with a wonderful printed image. I did not realize i have one upside down.
Here we go.
# 1 = One mans trash is another man's treasure
Frap. Bottles recycled in the most wonderful way!! I love the box and the images on each of the bottles.

# 2 = What was I thinking
And what could be more simple than a sticky note pad to capture all my thoughts and lists to be held in the most unique tablet ! amazing

# 3 = Button it
Dennie created a bounty of buttons that will find use in many of my scrap pages.
These have also found a new home.... stored in one of the new frapp bottles. :)

Next up are

# 9 = The Flowers of Tomorrow are in the seeds of today
For this item Denni could not have done anything that I could have loved more. I cherish anything hand made and these little flowers created by her will adorn some special memories in my heritage family albums.

#12 = Gibbers do it old tool style.
Ok my friends.. for any that really know me, know how much Christmas means to me and the spirit of the season. Denni.. wow. I must say I cried. I can not beleive that you not only wanted to do something, but you took the time to get to know me enough to create something so beautiful. This is AMAZING and will certainly find a special
place on my family christmas tree.

Again, I am overjoyed by the thoughts and gifts of my friend. Thank you sweetie!
