Let it Rain

Its another Friday already ?  This year seems to be going faster then the last.  sigh.  The good news… its a SOUS Friday and that means another challenge.  For this challenge… well, was a collaboration between our SOUS leaders and the rest of the team.    We all contributed random ideas for Die cuts and in my list of 100 or more HA…. using an umbrella won.   Thanks Nanne'  :)

So.. umbrella ideas a plenty, but for me I knew I had some favorite photos of garden flowers in bloom I wanted to scrap.  But not yet developed.  So the layout to follow will suit my roses perfectly :)
I find rain showers peaceful and refreshing.  Guess you could say Ive got a different kind of sun shine.  But knowing the bright green grass, strong blooming dogwoods, the scent of the cedars that fill the air after a rain is something I so look forward to.  And when it comes to my roses… well, let it rain let it rain.  Fresh rain from heavens does wonders for my flowers, something I can't seem to accomplish with chemical based tap water.   And so the title goes… Rains Blessings" and they are abundant.

For this challenge I used my Cricut cart, April Showers, those little rubber garden boots are to die for!  and my polka dotted umbrella, sweet.   :)  Other products, Spellbinder dies, and Sizzix font, shovel and flowers.

Be sure to click on over to the SOUS blog for more inspiration, and link up your own project idea utilizing an umbrella. Just click here ---> SOUS OFFICIAL SITE    Hope to see you there !!

Treat yourself to something Wonderful !

Oh Happy Day !!!   Its FRIDAY people :)  and its SOUS Friday and that makes it even better yes?!
SOUS new challenge,  create a" Sweet treat " and no better time then a birthday for such a creation.  I have a wonderful sweet young friend who happens to be turning 13 on Feb 13!  how cool is that ?!  I know right :) so a birthday card in the shape of a birthday cake would be in order for a long distance delivery and since I am not able to send sugar…I could cover with sugared glitter and fill the inside with a gift card allowing her to Treat herself with a little bit of Wonderful!  I love this girl and hope she likes as much as I do.

For this shaped card, I used the Cricut cartridge Sweet Treats and Birthday Bash.
Be sure to link up over on SOUS, I for one would love to see all of your creations.  There could never be too much inspiration :)
May your days be filled with much love as we celebrate the month of heart felt compassion <3

The Perfect Pair

Hello Blogland,    Another Friday and another SOUS Die Cut Challenge.  For this weeks challenge we were asked to create something, anything ' TO WEAR '.   This was fun!! and another boyish opportunity to scrap.  For this challenge I actually wanted to scrap some sweet Disney layouts from my recent trip, photos however would come in handy.  LOL.  Since I have not had time to edit or order, overdue Junior Prom pictures would have to suffice ;)   Mind you he is now a Sophomore in College.  sigh.      So for this I pulled out my Cricut cartridge Tie the Knot.  Nooo not suggesting these two lovelies... but they did make a beautiful photo right ?   and were great friends :)      My perfect pair was the patten dress shoes,   Cody never dresses up except for 'have to' events such as Prom. My personal challenge? how to make a prom layout not so girly... black and grey of corse.   The My Minds Eye, follow your heart collection reigns as one of my all time favorites and was perfect for this layout. So Here it is.  Hope you like.

Please be sure to link up on the SOUS blog, we love love love extra inspiration to be shared, and you never know, our SOUS administrators just might pick you for Top Three !!!!

For this weeks challenge we were playing in the snow again and there is nothing more common than the creation of SNOWMEN :)       So excited about this challenge,  I live in the great southern state of Georgia and we rarely have snow.   But this year we had an amazing snowfall and managed to enjoy building our own little snowman to over look the pool.    For this challenge I used my Cricut and the oh so cute Cricut Snow Folks cartridge.   I just loved the little one where the deer is after his nose!  perfect for my two outdoorsmen.  :)
